So, hello! I am still around, but mostly lurking in other peoples' ljs at the moment – much easier than writing my own entries, which means making a mental effort.
News... I'm currently – temporarily - working in a different department, in a far more prescriptive environment, processing forms, lunch is from then to then, home time is on the dot... But it's pretty mindless, and the enforced getting-on-with-stuff is making me want to write again, hallelujah.
I need to put together a small website, to show off my (limited) skills in that area, for the job application in the other department here (they're unlikely to look at it, but you never know). At the moment, my only website is my fanfic one, and... no.
It doesn't really matter what I do a sample website about, so long as it's relatively non-embarrassing (no not too many pics of hot boyz). I was thinking about making it educationalish, and I've come up with a few ideas... I could do it about King Alfred, seeing as I went to that exhibition and still haven't posted about it... or I could do it about... something else... art, Jenny Holzer and all that (I've got a dissertation on her around somewhere)... or... Heck, I could do it on paper bags, it doesn't really matter.
Should I do the King Alfred thing? Or anyone got any other bright ideas?

If you're making a web site why not make it about web sites themselves, links to the really useful resources, scripts and tips you might use? It shows not only can you do the thing on a basic level but you know how the thing should be done in an ideal world.
You cruel taskmaster, you. So what are you like as an interviewer? Good cop or bad cop? :)
