I see it all, now!
My laptop went away to have the CD/DVD drive fixed, yesterday (*clings*), so I was internetless for most of yesterday evening, aside from a few stolen moments on the bf's computer. So, yesterday I -
- Unearthed my old desktop computer from the pile of papers under which it had disappeared.
- Fired it up, tidied up some files, and discovered that actually it's not a bad old machine.
- Organised the papers and assorted other junk for filing.
- Wrote some NaNo.
- Did the washing-up early.
- Went to bed at a reasonable hour.
I am an addict. I see it clearly now - I'm addicted to the internetz (because my desktop doesn't hold sway over me, clearly - I spent more time tidying up around it that I did actually playing on it, because it's omg slow).
I won't get the laptop back until sometime next week, by which time I'm fairly confident I'll either have gone barmy, or tidied the house, or written my NaNo novel. Or all three. I need a desk lamp, though. And some way of stopping the office from being cold as the slopes of Hades. Ikea this weekend, perhaps.
I might institute No Laptop Week, once a month. Well, maybe not a full week... *is relapsing already*
Someone should write
holdouttrout and me some Volcano God fic, btw.
ETA: I feel totally safe now. Take a look at my personal bodyguard, kindly loaned to me by

Note how they are all in glassesand how insanely hot that makes them. Don't you all want to be in trouble, just so you too can borrow the Geeks Of Hotness? Yes. Yes, you do.
