Or not. :)
The ficathon jacket of doom!
Wishful thinking. Although, if I printed out what I've got, it might make a nice patchwork quilt. Sigh.
(Maybe if I stopped moaning about it and actually got on and wrote it...)
(oh, but moaning is half the fun and it's so much easier than writing!)
And the trouble is, I'm starting to think I'm putting more effort into thinking / writing / making pics about not having written it, than I have writing it. Which is so wrong, and I know it.
Although the bonfire thing is tempting...
Have you watched Black Books, incidentally?
Black Books is on my "to watch" list. I have a feeling its going to get me completely hooked when I do (because... Bill Bailey!)
And in series 2 you get to see Bill Bailey, naked except for a strategically-placed hot water bottle, waving a flaming torch, jumping up and down on top of a car, roaring. What other series can you say that about?
...and...
...No, that's about it. Oh, The IT Crowd was pretty funny, I thought. Funnily enough, Black Books, Father Ted, and The IT Crowd were all written or co-written by Graham Linehan.
Also, I quite liked Green Wing (see icon), but it's not to everyone's taste - it's a bit media-graduate, arseing around with camera-ish. But I worship Tamsin Greig, so I couldn't help but like it.
I am really not a fan of sitcoms, but over here at least there's been a bit of a renaissance.
Oh, also from your side of the Pond, Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's so painful, but so funny. I have to watch it from behind my hands.
I have only seen Curb Your Enthusiasm once because I don't have cable, but it was very funny.
Oh! And Scrubs! Scrubs opened the door for some of the other good ones we've had. And back over your way, I adore The Vicar of Dibley, but that's only kind of sort of in the ten-year window.
Curb Your Enthusiasm is well worth catching, if you can stand the pain. I have to leave the room sometimes. You're right; there do seem to be a lot of really good American comedies around at the moment.
Oh, if you ever see it around, Love Soup is excellent. It's a shortish comedy-drama series, about two people who are clearly absolutely perfect for one another, being the only sane voices in an insane world - and all the ways they narrowly miss ever meeting. It's just brilliant.
How I love that man :D
My apocafic is currently on a tour of the known universe...
*squooshes Bernard*
Do you mean your apocafic is in beta, or that the characters are jaunting around the universe, I wonder?
:P

That was the fastest reply ever.
