So, Morpheus. Episode two of season 10 of Stargate. At this rate, I should reach the end by, oh, 2019. (Don't these dates sound improbable? Next year it'll be 2010. 2010.)

Aw, Vala - wanting so badly to be part of the team. I think she's totally right, and you can cram for a psych test - she just didn't know the right way to go about it. Which, actually, surprises me - I'd think she'd be better at that, no matter how familiar or not she is with any particular planet. It's her ability to adapt that makes her a survivor. The scene with her and the lie detector was cute (although if they wanted her to be lying about the doctor's appearance, they should've got a less-cute actor, IMO). She did a great job of turning the tables on Woolsey at the end - hah!

I'm glad Daniel stuck up for her right to be on the team, but I shouldn't have watched The Ties That Bind immediately before this, because the turnaround was quite startling. Somehow, she made Landry quite endearing, too. I think her stubbornness and self-assurance about what to do reminded him of his daughter.

Ew to bugs in one's brain. And hah, if I hadn't just watched Window of Opportunity yesterday, with Aurora mentioning that Malikai reappears as an SG team leader, would I have noticed it was the same actor? Possibly - he's quite distinctive, and I have watched WoO a lot. Or possibly I'd have racked my brains to place him, and eventually asked my flist.

Teal'c, of course, rocks, and saved the day, but with nothing much fun to do. Cam ftw for the Python reference, which told A (he'd made a sarcastic remark earlier about Stargate and the Holy Grail). I swear Daniel should have a research team looking through all the books he owns, just at the pictures. They always seem to contain Gate addresses. Honestly, looking at just the pictures would be dead quick, and totally worth it.

What, though, was the lizard living on? Huh? The ecosystem is screwed, the parasites go dormant once there's nothing around to feed on... and Stargate's grasp of ecology hasn't improved since The First Commandment.

This was cute:

Daniel: "I got it! I got it. I made the connection. Sir Gawain to Gwalchmei. Culhwch and Olwen. Verus Gen Bree."
Sam (quietly, to Cam): "And you say I'm hard to understand."

And then of course I had to go read [livejournal.com profile] surreallis 's Five Missing Ship Scenes from S9 and 10, for the Morpheus one. *hearts*
