Or perhaps, au revoir...

We waved little Sidney off into the big, wide world, the night before last. He chirruped loudly at us, as if to say ‘Thanks, you KIDNAPPING SCUMBAGS!’, and then pottered around the garden for about ten minutes before disappearing into the hedge, natch. Ah, it seems like only yesterday that he was just a tiny handful of sleeping hedgehog... wait, it was two days ago. Okay then.

What next, Oxford? I’m hoping balloon rides, or a puppy.

Sidney looks quite happy to be on the wide, wonderful ground.

You know, it's a shame The Tent vanished in the move. I just finished it, and I really thought it was interesting and thought-provoking.

Yes, I think Sidney was none too grateful about being rescued. *g*

And oh, cool - I'm sure it'll turn up sometime, it's just managed to get into a box NOT labelled "books".

So, what you're saying, is that boxes labeled "books" get unpacked first, and that boxes that had various theoretically important things that Had To Be Left Out in them get unpacked whenever you need to find something else that isn't with anything else.

:-)

I also just read "Swallows and Amazons," although I'm not sure if that was on your rec or not, but it was a very charming book. I quite enjoyed it.

...Something like that. *g* It's one way of packing. Admittedly not the most efficient.

And, ooh - I've no idea if I recommended Swallows and Amazons, but if not, I certainly would. I always wanted to be Nancy (who used to be Ruth, but changed her name because pirates are ruthless, w00t!). There's a whole series, and I found them deeply involving. Now I want to re-read them!

I'm reading Rough Crossings (the first book on my To Be Read list). It's brilliant. I keep meaning to post something about it for IBARW - although I've not finished it, but it's very appropriate.

Nancy is AWESOME. I kept cracking up over things--where the line between reality and make-believe blurred, mostly--and then trying and failing to explain the awesome to the people who were in the same room (both of whom were reading the last Twilight novel).

I actually had the book, hadn't read it, hadn't read it...and then it was suddenly due, with no renewals, and I finished it in less than 24 hours. Deadlines, people. They work.

I'd be very interested in your thoughts on Rough Crossings, for IBARW, or after.

Isn't he just? His little nose, just like a currant. Less delightful that he's probably snacking on slugs and worms about now... :P

I just wanted to pick him up and squish him! Except for the, you know, him turning into a spiky ball if I try anything like that. Ow.

‘Thanks, you KIDNAPPING SCUMBAGS!’
*sporfles*

SO CUTE! I'm sure he'll be just fine out there. A balloon ride would be good. Also, winning the lottery. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you ;)

He didn't seem pleased. Ungrateful little so-and-so. :D

I could win the lottery and BUY a balloon! Of course, that means I'd have to actually enter the lottery in the first place... Maybe this week...

Bye bye, Sidney! Have a happy grub-and-worm-eating life!

He's really adorable. I mean seriously.

He really is quite adorable! Ungrateful, but cute.

I didn't even realize that hedgehogs even made a noise! Lucky you!

They eat slugs? *city girl is completely perplexed* I don't even know what a slug looks like. But hopefully appetizing to your little friend. Farewell Sidney! Live a long happy life doing... whatever it is that you do :)

LITTLE SCHNOZZLE!!
eeee
He'll come back and thank you later by loudly chasing female tiggywinkles around your garden at 3am.

A mole!! A mole next! They have cute wiffly noses. Or you could fall down a rabbithole?

I have been eagerly following the Adventures of Sidney the Hedgehog ever since you introduced me to him. These pictures are so cute!

I can't wait to find out what happens next in your neck of the woods!! :)

I'm glad he's back where he belongs, but I'm sad we will get no more adorable Sidney pictures.

I’m hoping balloon rides, or a puppy.

I vote for the puppy. :)
