pepper: Pepperpot (Sigh)
Meme gakked from [personal profile] holdouttrout - Your Friends Are Not Watching the Same Show You Are (And That's Okay)

Shows I'm watching at the moment:

Stargate:
...You know, just see what [personal profile] holdouttrout said. Particularly the first one. :)

Stargate Atlantis: The Jack Turns Up And Acts Like He Owns The Place Show (extremely rare), and I've caught a few episodes of the Ronon Is Awesome Show.

Doctor Who: The Martha Is Awesome Show (only ran for one season and a couple of specials, but I'm hoping it'll start up again), but mostly the How I Think Rusty Is Doing It Wrong And If I See Another Companion's Family I'm Going To Scream Show.

MacGyver: The How Ridiculous Does RDA's Hair Have To Be Before He Stops Looking Hot? Show. So far I've seen four seasons and the question hasn't been answered yet.

Buffy: The I'm Going To Find Myself Using That Phrase Soon Show, the Willow And Xander Are Just So Cute Show, the Willow And Oz Are Just So Cute Show, the Willow And Tara Are Just So Cute Show, and the Yay Spike Show. Oh, and--very briefly--the Willow And Spike Would Be Just So Cute Show.

Now I'm going to go to watch Serpent's Song (otherwise known as the "Sam and Jack get hot and sweaty in the control room" episode of the Sam And Jack Eyesex Show) for tomorrow's [profile] redial_the_gate.

*snort* I esp. love the Buffy one. Because yeah. There's absolutely no reason why I would otherwise sit through the Buffy Summers is Really Friggin Annoying Show.

Aw, I didn't see that show. I did see the Buffy Appears To Be In A Different And More Angsty Show Than Everyone Else Show, though. *g*

I've just started rewatching it from the beginning (because A's not seen it all, is my excuse), and I thought she'd be a lot less angsty at first, but... no, it's pretty much from the beginning. This R Srs Bzness, being a Slayer.

Yeah, Buffy takes herself a little too seriously for me. But then, I haven't seen the whole series, just bits a pieces, so maybe I'd love it if I gave it more of a shot.

I always see it differently than that. She frequently does have the weight and fate of the world on her shoulders and people's lives depend on the actions she takes. That would make me a little angsty too.

In the end, she usually goes with doing what's right rather than what's easy. That's why I'll always have a soft spot for her even while others complain that she's whiny. :)

Having seen the whole thing, I'd say yeah - in pieces, it could seem like she's being whiny, but watching the whole thing, I felt like she had got a really sucky deal, and I'd totally be pissed off about it, in her place. Plus I felt it was balanced by enough times she was snarky and kick-ass - so, overall, I love her. (I just love Xander and Willow a bit more.)

But then, other people who've seen the whole thing also find her annoying, so YMMV. *shrug*
