Misbehaving? That isn't nice.
If it's the software, rather than something further in - I highly recommend downloading either Trillian (windows) or Adium (Mac) - both free chat clients that let you log into multiple platforms (MSN, yahoo, AIM, LJtalk, etc) at the same time on one single client, keep logs of your chats, and generally behave better. I love 'em both.

Oh, aha. Sounds like a good idea. I've followed AIM's help suggestions (turn it off and on again, basically), and it's still being an asshat.
