I'm hungry.

pepper: Pepperpot (Yo-yo)
I was looking through old fic entries yesterday, re-reading feedback because it makes me happy (that's probably a bit sad of me *g*), and decided I'd restart the Sam Carter/MacGyver fic, seeing as people expressed an interest when I mentioned it. 4,000 words in, and it's suddenly turned all action-y. There's a villain and everything. Just - boom, out of nowhere. Well, it makes sense within the story, thank goodness - but I wasn't planning it. Typical Mac - he turns up anywhere, and suddenly there's kidnappings, and other high drama. :-)

I made challah yesterday, courtesy of [profile] abyssinia4077's recipe, and it's absolutely delicious. Although somewhat misshapen, partly because I had to take it out and bake it upside-down for a while, due to my terrible oven, that burns things on top and leaves them raw underneath. But it cooked perfectly, so much so that the bf, who tends to eat only a polite amount of what I bake, and views bread as a convenient way to consume peanut butter or cheese, has helped me polish off practically a whole loaf already.

And... there was something else I was going to post about... what was it?...

I had an amaretti milkshake this weekend. Amaretti biscuits, vanilla ice cream, and milk. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

And I bought a mini mp3 player (2gb), because my iPod died, and I can use it when jogging, or on the 10+ hours I spend travelling every week (gawd, it sounds so depressing when put that way). It's a Creative Zen Stone Plus, and it's so cute! It's so weeny! It's all in black - like the sort of mp3 player a ninja might own. *g*

Oh, I remember what I was going to say. I watched Metamorphosis again yesterday, and giggled at a totally unfunny moment, because I was expecting Jonas and Teal'c to start miming in the background. I'd forgotten all about it, but it sprung up and surprised me. Now I'm just trying to make sure that Metamorphosis is ruined for the rest of you. ;-)

And now I must go home.

Yay Sam/MacGyver
(also, you are not the only person to go read responses on old fic)

In other news: I will so take over the world with my challah recipe! *makes evil laugh*
(glad it came out so tasty despite your oven's attempt at sabotage.
hee :) on the rest
(and I think I friended you over those stick figures!)

Awwww. *sings* Memories... :D

And now you know who Mac is, so you can see how very cute a couple he and geek!Sam would be!

Your challah recipe would be a beneficent totalitarian ruler, I feel.

Well, I mostly already knew about Mac - just hadn't seen him. And, yes, they would be cute together. Though she might intimidated at first by how smooth he is.

Oh, challah would totally be a benevolent tolitarian ruler :) Everyone would be happy eating bread and forget to be upset about things.
*runs off to idealist la-la land*

I think it was Jack's desperate need to steal the scenery that I loved most about those stick figures. That, and Teal'c knowing what a glass box mime was. Or whatever. :)

If the top of the challah starts burning, you can actually cover it lightly with foil. That'll keep it from turning too black while the rest of it bakes.

Jack actually does that, that's the thing. He's an attention-seeker. *g*

I might try the thing with the foil next time. It doesn't always work, though - it's a really geriatric machine. Part of the handle fell off the other day. Ugh. If we weren't planning to move out next year, we'd get the landlords to replace it.

Hee! Excellent - I'm a stick figure, too! I like the way the other one is flying backwards from my ninja kick of DOOOOOOOOOOM.

(And, I wish I could high-kick like that. *g*)

Sam/Mac fills me with yay! Especially since I've just started re-watching MacGyver via Netflix and fallen for him all over again.

I reread comments on a regular basis just because it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy that there are funny, smart people out there reading my stuff. :)

Sam/Mac is much glee to write. And the really hard part is, I'm rewatching some MacGyver to get the character right. He's hanging by one arm from a helicopter at the moment, on my screen.

Life is tough.

Yeah, definitely with the warm and fuzzy. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I re-read comments, too!

Also--yay for geekage! And miming! And stick figures!

Hee - it seems we all do, for the times we need a dose of the warm fuzzies. Can't be a bad thing. Now I just need not to get paranoid about writing interesting comments that will be worth re-reading... *hasn't got enough to occupy mind, apparently*

And, yay to all that! *g*

I always get paranoid about my comments. But I try not to be, because if I am, I don't leave any.

:-)

(Also, I used a ridiculous amount of exclamation points in that comment. Wow!)

re-reading feedback because it makes me happy (that's probably a bit sad of me *g*

Errr... not at all... because then it would make me sad to do exactly the same thing... *shifty eyes* Honestly, whenever I get a random bit of feedback on an older story, I end up rereading the story and most of the feedback on it again... :)

Heh, me too. Any old opportunity. It's particularly nice to read ones and go, 'oh, that's when I started talking to so-and-so!' :)
