Reason this fic is making me so nuts: I have no idea

Maybe your muse died like mine did. Honestly, the moment I turned in my entry for the sjficathon, something went KABLOOWY! and I haven't been able to write anything of decent length or plot ever since, original or fandom-based.

Maybe it's the time of year...? Possibly some air-borne pathogen? Something in the world's water?
