I've been tagged! (by lady_draco2005):

List seven "songs" you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

Okay, amongst those on my favourites playlist right now are:

1) Nellie The Elephant – Toy Dolls (because it makes me want to jump up and down)

2) Lovin' Him Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again) – Rosanne Cash (because I love the imagery)

3) Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood – The Animals (because it reminds me of my bf)

4) Everything I Own – Bread (because I have horribly cheesy taste in music)

5) Rolling Sea – Eliza Carthy (because the rhythm fits the theme so beautifully)

6) River Deep, Mountain High – Tina Turner (because I can sing loudly to it)

7) Baby I Don't Care – Transvision Vamp (because BABY I DON'T CARE)

I won't tag anyone, but feel free to gak.

And the comment fic as written by Abyssis and me has, er, given birth to a website. A wee baby one. It's basic, it lacks any kind of finesse or pictures of puppies, cute kids, etc (erring of the side of 'not looking like a complete crazy'), and it's disturbingly pink. Have a look. And consider this a shout out to anyone who has a secret kink for not-too-twee Sam/Daniel kidfic (boy is that sentence going to get me thrown off lj): write some. This little universe could do with some expanding. Go on, you know you want to... Vala, for instance: she's got some big, juicy issues around kids – what's with all the gifts? And why is Cam cooking so much? What is Jack up to with Thor, and what was in the latest care package he sent through to Atlantis that made Weir go pink and rush to hide it in her quarters? Will Sam and Daniel ever get some time to themselves? WHAT SPECIES IS THE PUPPY? (Not. Beagle.) All these important questions have yet to be answered.

Oh, and if you have an idea of what I could put around the border of the website, let me know: I'm drawing a blank.

Further news (I'm feeling bulletin board-ish today). [community profile] apocalypse_kreeis now taking prompts, if anyone hasn't already heard. Kree! It doesn't mean you commit to writing anything, and a writer you like might chose to write your prompt, so what've you got to lose? Eh? Eh?

Going to bed now. It's half-twelve, for heaven's sake.

Oh, also, [livejournal.com profile] sg_fignewton pointed out that grandpa Hammond really needs to visit...

That'd be a good border, yes. Hmmm... *needs more hours in the day*

And yes, Grandpa Hammond definitely should visit. And I want to hear about the Weir/Jack/Thor thing - did Jack teach Thor to juggle, btw, or is that an Asgard skill? *g*

I totally think Thor could juggle (possibly with technological help) - but I'm all for the idea of Jack teaching him. Also, spoons would be tricky to juggle...so he's gotta be good :)

So, are you saying that Jack has spent a lot of time teaching Thor to juggle? :D

Well...if Thor didn't already have talent/technology to help him, I'd have to say yes.

Light-weight is harder to juggle, odd shapes/weight distribution is harder to juggle and more than three is harder to juggle - so 4 spoons would be tricky.

What if Jack got all jealous because he taught Thor and then Thor was better than him?!??!!?

Jack is totally that childish. :D

It's hard to judge how graceful / dextrous Thor and the other Asgard are, because - being CGI and robotics - they don't quite have the real weight of actual people. Not that they're bad CGI (well, sometimes...), but I can sort of picture them better when I read them in fanfic than when I see them on-screen - you know? So I can't quite get a mental image as to whether Thor would be really, really gifted at juggling, or if he'd be cheating and using technology. :)

He is so that childish.

Honestly, I think Thor would have technology to help him - but I know what you mean.

(how come LJ is emailing me all my comments except for ones made by you? Is it trying to stop the kid!fic?)
