pepper: Pepperpot (Mac/Sam)
Haven't much to say today, so I'm saying it anyway.

I should, fingers crossed, have broadband by this weekend! Hoorah! *waves farewell to social life*

And I am writing geek!Sam (Carter)/Mac fic, and it was supposed to be to cheer up [profile] vickyocean, but I haven't yet got it finished, so *hugs* in the meanwhile, hon. But I am writing it, and they're my new never-can-be OTP. I want to write them foreverandeverandever. I must make icons. Also, I have observed that - in real life - I swear like MacGyver. "Gosh darn it!" *g*

Stargate remix? What Stargate remix? *whistles innocently*

Also, *eyes FanLib, gets out bargepole* ...Hmm... *looks for longer bargepole* In its favour, though, it's provoked some excellent journalism by bloggers of all species. Fandom rools.

That is all. Ooh, long weekend coming up. Thank goodness.

I love that icon. And I kinda feel that way at the moment. Sacrifices had some great Jack and Bray'tac banter.

Yay me! You're writing fic. At the moment I've become Scarlett. "I'll think about it tomorrow."

It took me a second to realize why you put the (Carter) in there. I'd forgotten about Mac's son. To be such a goody-goody about other things he was a bit of a womanizer, wasn't he?

Congrats on the broadband. It's like crack. I'm constantly checking my email like every five minutes. Who needs a social life anyway? ; )

I keep putting Sam/Mac, but it's just a bit ambiguous that way. And, ew. :D

Yeah, Mac was a lot of a womanizer. But, y'know, it was a different era. His son was born in *looks it up* 1973. There's an Adam Ant song that really puts me in mind of him - Goody Two-Shoes. "Don't drink, don't smoke / What do you do?" With the implication being that what Adam did do was have sex. A lot.

*happily throws social life over shoulder*

(And Bray'tac is clearly The Man. *g*)

I obviously need to watch MacGyver in preparation. ;-)

My favorite crossover OTP? Chloe from 24 and McKay. Or at least, Chloe before this last season, which I hear mangled her character a bit. It would be amazing. I will not write it, though. Well, maybe someday.

I swear like MacGyver, too. Most of the time. Not online, though--I tend to say more in writing than I would in person.

Hee. Yeah, I swear more online, too - I feel a bit dumb saying 'darn it' and 'sugar' in all this sophisticated company. *g*

I don't think watching MacGyver is essential - it's awfully daft. But don't let me stop you! And I've not seen 24, so I'll have to take your word at Chloe/McKay. But the idea of there being someone who's ideal for McKay is making me want to watch it...

I think that's it, right there. Language adjusts to company. Or something. Darn it!

I think Chloe's mostly in seasons 4 and 5--I know she's *in* season 3, but she really only becomes hilariously great in 4 and 5. I haven't seen season 6, so I'm reserving judgement. Both Chloe and McKay have that exasperating self-confidence in their professional lives, and absolutely no sense of tact. I think it would be amazing. In fact, I'm rescinding my earlier statement about not wanting to write it out. They're so snarky individually that together their snark would destroy the world--plus, they could have fantastically snarky sex.

Argh! I also must post this other story I have--it's just *sitting* there, staring at me. All I need to do is run through it once, maybe twice, and that's all I've needed to do for a month.

*fumes*

Ah, I love people with no tact. She sounds a bit like Anya from BTVS. You clearly must write it, because snarkiness is fun. And then I'll have to watch 24. *g*

Post your story. Pooooooooooooooooost it. I need an excuse to use my shiny new broadband this weekend. *glees*

(Okay, I totally don't need an excuse, but post it anyhow. *tries to use brainpower to make you post*)

They're so perfect together. It would be gold. *sighs*

And, congratulations on winning out against your fic, btw! I read it on the way home yesterday, and whooo... Okay, must go review it in the proper place.
