In other news... my boots are very pointy today. It's sort of fun, looking like a wicked witch, but I'm half afraid I'm going to trip over them. It's not completely unknown for me to be a klutz when it comes to putting one foot in front of another. If I get distracted enough when I'm walking, sometimes I forget how many feet I have, and which one comes next. Perhaps I was a centipede in a previous life.
Also, I made some new icons, mostly for use in things not Stargate-related. Anyone know who these ladies are?:

edit: Oh, these are the other icons. Welcome to use them if you want.

And...#23! that is GOLD! MWahahahhaha!
Not that I really expected anyone to know of them, they were pretty obscure. Came out around the same time as He-Man, but no TV series. Moth Lady was the best. She has evil powers, and flight, but - I kid you not - a tendency to be hypnotised by bright lights. Bwahahahaha! She's, like, my favourite ever bad guy. :D
The redhead would be Rubee, and the blonde is Golden Girl (see the theme, cleverly continued with Saphire (sic), Onyx, and Jade? *g*). They were so much cooler than She-Ra! Apparently we were lucky - they were only available briefly.
My mother, who is barmy, heard me waxing lyrical about them last year, and bought me several on Ebay, for Christmas. I sometimes wonder how old she thinks I am. :D
This should bring back some memories:

Great, now I have an almost uncontrollable urge to leave work and go to my parents house. I think I know where my figures are. The last time we moved I came across a bunch of my old action figures and put them all in a box together. I think Golden Girl still has her shield and cape floating around. Rubee's cape is still around somewhere too. I don't remember what her shield looked like at all, so I must have lost that early on. I think my Moth Lady still has wings too. Her cape and shield are probably lost.
My memory is so insanely wacky. Don't ask me to remember something important, but trivial will stick forever. I remember when I got Golden Girl and Ruby. My parents were having a Hawaiian themed pool party for their church group or something, so my grandparents were taking care of me. We went to Wal-Mart and of course I had to have a toy. I couldn't decided whether I wanted Rubee (because she had reddish hair or Golden Girl (because she was the leader), so my Grandpa got me both. My parents bought me Moth Lady when they went somewhere I didn't go. I don't think I could find anymore after that.
*must not go to ebay*

Awwwww! That's so sweet!
It's a pity you live the other side of the world - we could have pooled resources. *g* I have Onyx, Dragon Queen, Jade, Moth Lady, Golden Girl, Ogra (weird-ass male doll I don't remember from the first time around), and Saphire, I think... oh, and various bits and pieces. All bought by my mother, last Christmas, in a fit of 'oh my little girl is all grown-up!' (I chucked my original ones years ago, in a ruthless clear-up.)
I loved their pritty, pritty hair. And their cloaks - I loved how brightly-coloured they were. Mmm, shiny... And I loved that they were taller than my brother's He-Man dolls. *g*
I should shut up now.
My Mom kinda indulges my weird obsessions sometimes too. I had a birthday cake several years ago in the form of Pikachu.
I think Golden Girl and her friends took over Castle Grayskull from He-Man and hung out with Teela and the Sorceress.
When I finally make it across the pond I make sure I'll pack my action figures. : )
