Grumble

Dealing with IT is always a delight and a pleasure. Even when it takes three long phonecalls for them to understand the apparently complex idea that my entire office is not receiving emails from anyone, no, not even colleagues. Even when I have to spell it out half a dozen times that it is not a "webmail issue", I simply used my webmail account to test the problem. Even when it takes three days for them to put us on any kind of urgent priority. Even when they phone me back to say that our domain "doesn't exist", suddenly, and for no apparent reason. Even when 22 people have been unable to receive emails since last Thursday, and I still have to phone IT to get a progress update every morning.

It's a delight and a pleasure. It's a delight and a pleasure. It's a delight and a pleasure...

What is even more delightful is the people from my office offering "helpful" suggestions, such as "have you checked if it's anything to do with the website?" and "my husband thinks it could be a wire come unplugged in the server." DELIGHTFUL, I TELL YOU. I HOPE THEY KEEP OFFERING ADVICE BASED ON THEIR OWN EXPERIENCES AND/OR THE THOUGHTS OF FRIENDS, RELATIVES AND LOVED ONES.
