You know, apropos of nothing in that ep, it strikes me that I keep waiting for a story or character arc on MacGyver. I'm out of tune with How TV Used To Be. I've been spoiled by my X-Files, Buffy, Doctor Who - yes, even Stargate. I mentioned, when talking about Jericho Games, that Mac would be even more commitment-shy after that... but he won't, will he? He was commitment-shy – when it suited the story – in the beginning, and he's no worse or better now. *sigh* I miss my plot arcs.

Yes, I know there's one involving Pete coming up, but I tend to think that's due to real life, and not because the writers suddenly realised that plot arcs weren't just for soap operas.
