pepper: Behind bars (Behind bars)
Oh my gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood. Friday afternoon before a long weekend full of fun stuff, and it seems like this day is NEVER GOING TO END. I've been here FOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER. Okay, since 7.45am - but STILL. That's EARLY.

Can't I read my book until I go home? Silence In The Sanctuary (thank you, Annerb). It entertained me so much on the bus (EARLY OMG) this morning that I nearly missed my stop. Aquinas is the perfect butler: his reaction to a corpse in the chapel was, "Oh dear, milady. I do hope it wasn't the duck." (They had duck for dinner.) And there was an excellent line about a bear and an uncle that I had to go back and re-read because it was so cleverly funny.

Another 45mins. I might just DIE.

I'm almost free. Another half an hour (it's now 4.21pm). And I've given up trying to understand the time settings.

The book rocks! I want to get the next one, but it's not yet out in the edition I've got - I think it's out soon (it's out with a different cover, but I want all three matching). Still, I've not finished this one yet, and I have lots of other stuff I should read.

I borrowed them all from the library, so I've seen the various covers. They amused me--there's the stately hardcover, and then the nondescript mystery paperback cover, and the trade paperback, and the bodice-ripper style cover. How many covers does one book need, anyway?
