pepper: Pepperpot (Aw shucks)
I got an email a few days ago about having been nominated for Stargate Fan Awards, but I managed to screw it up somehow - but now it's been sorted, and I officially know that someone(s) out there has been so kind and squeeful as to nominate Sleeping Dogs, Float Like A Butterfly, and It's Been An Honor. Aw, shucks, you guyz...!

How amused am I that they're all gen fics? Very. *g*

I feel so out of the loop, I need to stop mainlining DVDs and get back to my fic reading hermit-ness.

For the Fan Awards? *shrug* In a couple of weeks or so, I think... I'm not too sure.

Congratulations! And I never read "Sleeping Dogs" before (BTW, your link to Float like a butterfly also goes to it). Cf course, I've always been partial to "It's Been an Honor" (I wonder why?)

Hee! Perhaps you're secretly a gen girl at heart after all! *bwah ha ha* the conversion plan is working!)

Since you guys have started working on me, I started to watch NCIS, and I've been remarkably gen for that. What evil spell have you put on me?!?

No ship or slash for NCIS?! Hee! Heck Abby/Tim started as canon!

It is a remarkably teamy goodness show though. I get the SG-1 vibe from it *so* much.

And they're pushing Tony/Ziva canonically, too, but I'm just not interested. Eh. I just like to see all the characters interacting as a team!

[puts awards team hat on]

It was a glitch in the software. A subset of the temporary '-nom' accounts we created had a flaw that had to be ferreted out. Sadly, it's the kind of thing our testing wouldn't readily discover. Fortunately, it's fixed now. ;-)

Considering I've never hosted or worked on the team for anything of any size, I've no right to moan when things go a little swirly. You guys are all doing a grand job, sorting out the thousand-odd (?) noms and making everything work.

It's fixed? I'll go try it out. Thanks. :)

*hands over a half dozen cookies*

Not a problem! Seriously, there's always something to go wrong. Last year, or the year before last (I can't remember) there was a problem with user account passwords and I spent two days processing at least a thousand help request emails. The only 'good' thing about that was that it was something I could quickly resolve for each person, but I got heartily sick of resetting passwords. ;-);-)

We've been upgrading the software and automating more processes. As with everything, it's a work in progress. :-)
