Stargate: Gift Of The Gods on CD? I haz it. Ah, the dulcet tones of Michael Shanks, whispering in my ear on my journey to work.

/smug.

Also, finished Stargate: Alliances, and... well, largely "meh" with a side order of "what happened to Teal'c?" I had more to say about it, but it seemed a little rude to go on about it. But now I'm reading Survival Of The Fittest, and it's terribly exciting, and Janet goes offworld!

*jealous*

I am so very tempted by that CD. The price does seem steep, but it's like two hours of Michael Shanks. *wants*

It was kinda cheap on Amazon UK. But then, I think it's a British production, and Big Finish are a British company, so that's probably the reason.

I hope they do one with RDA... Mmm...

I think it's almost $20 with shipping at their website. But the download is only $9. Assuming there's no restrictions on burning the download to a CD, I'll probably buy it sometime soon. Ordinarily I'd wait for reviews, but I generally trust MS not to agree to do something unless the story is pretty good.

(Well, where Daniel is involved, anyway. Megasnake is a whole other issue. ;))

Wow, that is rather expensive for a CD. Big Finish productions are usually really good - I've got a few of their Doctor Who stories, and they're fabulous. I'll let you know if this lives up to it. ;)

Now I have a difficult decision: do I a) stop reading Survival of the Fittest and listen to the CD, b) leave the CD for now and finish the book (I never seem to have much time to read, lately, so I'm going through it at a fairly slow pace for me), or c) listen to the CD and read the book, probably forever confusing both plots in my head forever?

It's a hard life. :)

Well, it depends: which one can you get through fastest? If it's the CD--then you should do the CD. If it's the book, then the book. If it's neither, then both.

Hm. I think I'll read the rest of the book tonight. I'm about a third of the way through, after all - it seems a shame to drop it now. No matter how attractive the new shiny is.

See, I need you around to make decisions for me. *g*

It's not just that it's MS and I love his voice, but that it's Daniel-centric! ::wails::

Let us know what the actual story's like!

Heh, will do!

I can't help it, I'm wishing they'd done one with RDA. MS is fragrant and delightful, too, and has a lovely voice! I don't wish they hadn't done one with him, I just... have my priorities. *g*

Ooh, yes! I would *totally* buy one with RDA. Even for $20! :D

If they can tie him down long enough for him to read a story, it would be marvellous.

*sigh*

Ooh, kinky! ;D

But seriously, didn't he just have foot surgery or something? Maybe if he's on crutches they can nab him to do some reading. *hopes*

Didn't they made MS fly to the UK to do this one? You'd think there's enough recording studios in the US... *shrug*

I love these audio adventures. I have some Paul McGann Doctor Who ones, and it's like The Series That Never Happened. Stargate ones would be fun, because they could be set any season you like, doesn't matter that the actors look older.

lol! Well, he sounded normal in the other one, but the clip I listened to had a sort of sexual tension to it, and he had to say the word 'thrust', and he almost seemed to be trying to NOT say it sexily at all. He sounded almost Thor-like in his determination to sound neutral. It was oddly disappointing, yet funny.

I've listened to only a few seconds of the beginning, so far, but I must say, I find MS's voice strangely attractive. More so than I usually find his person.
