Well, clearly someone is a fan - today is RDA's 59th birthday.
I had a MacGyver moment years ago, when I'd locked myself out. Okay, that part isn't very Mac - but how I dealt with it was. I walked around to the green space that backed on to our garden, and climbed over the fence (greeted with enthusiastic puzzlement by our dog). The back door was locked, but I saw the key was in the lock, and I worked out that I could push it through, and then reach through the catflap and get it, and let myself in.
It's a well-known burglar's trick, but at the time I was a mere schoolchild, and had never heard of such a thing, so I was very proud of my work. I could've stayed outside with the dog without being too bored, but it was cold. And I pointed out to my parents later that we shouldn't keep the key in the lock like that.
I miss having a dog. They're good companionship for having lone adventures.

I sent Small Child (then even Smaller Child) in through the cat flap. After she let us in, we sealed up the flap so no one could ever do that again.
We got locked out from a different house, once, and my dad broke in through the roof. I think he took tiles out and everything. It was pretty secure there, I guess.
