pepper: Pepperpot (Not seeing the humour)

The next time someone phones me, and responds to my greeting by saying, "Hello?", and then, when I try again, says, "Hello?" again, as if they can't hear me, I'm not going to make any further attempts to steer the conversation into more productive waters. I've done my duty by the call, as far as I'm concerned. If they continue to imitate the actions of a parrot, I shall parrot back, and we can "Hello?" at each other until one of us hangs up.

So there.

ETA: Also, this icon, and my research for the fic I posted yesterday (looking at screencaps from Unnatural Selection! Get your minds out of the gutter. I was staring at shots of the chair, working out if what I was writing was physically possible. *g*) reminded me that Jack is unfeasibly hot in that ep. And bad-tempered. Which adds to the hot. I wonder if it has something to do with the black uniform?

ETA2: And I think it was yesterday's pic in

rda_dailywhich subliminally made me choose that ep.

Black uniforms are made of win, although parrot-people on the telephone are not.

I submitted the weirdest prompts for

apocalypse_kree. Really. I had a crackfic prompt in there somewhere, and at least one other funny one. APOCAFIC IS NOT FUNNY. Usually. *grins*

I've not submitted prompts yet. I'm compiling a list, but I find putting prompts together really damn hard. But I will! This evening.

The question in my mind now is, would a black uniform cancel out the annoyance of a parrot person?

Well, where is the person wearing the black uniform? Can you see them? Who is in the uniform? Is the person wearing the uniform the same person as is doing the parroting?

There is much testing needed. *grins*

I always submit the weirdest prompts. Seriously. I think only one person has actually written one of them, and I believe that was because it was a one-word sort of deal. Hee.

Hm. Well, I'm willing to test it, if someone could send Jack to parrot at me. QED, the uniform is effective under certain circumstances. *g*

(Ooh, and also testing should be done with a variety of uniforms. The charcoal one worn for funerals, and the Dress Blues, and the BDUs... and obviously there'd need to be a zero point, and obviously that would have to be no uniform at all...)

Your prompts maybe tailored for the 'things I would never write' meme. Which was awesomely fun, so that's a good thing. :D

Ditto on Jack in Unnatural Selection. Dark, devious black wearing Jack eating ice cream. How can one not love that?

Season 6 is a motherlode of Jack-hotness. The black uniform only adds to it, it sucks that they started using the black BDUs for almost every mission only after he had left.

And yes, deeply unfair about the black uniforms. When I got the action figures, I tried to get them all in black - annoyingly, they don't have a black ops Sam, so I got regular Sam, and regular Cam so she didn't feel too much like the odd one out.

I can tell you these things because you do action figure theatre. *g*

It does suck that there's no black ops Sam, although Replicarter and desert camo tank top Sam are pretty cool.

I just wish black ops Jack didn't have that ugly knit hat on. Messy hair and a little scruff on the chin would have been so much better.

Mm, I almost got RepliCarter to complete my SG-1 nightstrike team (after all, Vala isn't wearing the proper black ops uniform), but... I'd know she wasn't the real Carter. I'm having to violently resist the urge to buy them all in matching desert camo, though. *g*

Hee! I like posing Replicater with Vala in black leather, they have a cool 'girls out on the town' look together. But I always have a moment of, "Vala, run, she's evil!" :)

I never played with dolls or barbies as a kid, but I so want different outfits and hairstyles for my action figures.
