Rick Stein's Spain, and whilst the programme itself made me cringe a bit, it reminded me of the heat and the smell and the sights of Spain, particularly Granada.
Remember the part of the Alhambra where Washington Irving stayed,
abyssinia? A dark, cool building, a relief to the eyes - and somewhere in the middle there was a courtyard, shielded by walls and tall trees, green like underwater, flooded with sunlight, and in every corner an orange tree with impossibly bright fruit.

That it would have been one of the ones rescued from the Aswan High Dam would make sense, as would my ignorance of its whereabouts (my knowlege and interests are much more concentrated in the Pharaonic period, rather than tne Late period, Ptolemaic, or Roman periods). I was only in grade school when the Aswan High Dam was built, and not reading many newspapers.
I did not doubt, btw, that you knew where you were when you took the picture. I just was curious as to details, and I really, genuinely had not heard of this temple. I thought it just might be possible that you had 2 action figure theater photos and pulled the wrong one. Hope I didn't seem to imply that you were not remembering your own trip!
