Curses. Was going to do some pirate fic. This turns out to be much easier.

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better! If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate.
3. Please update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Please include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, ask them five questions.

I've found The Bike. It's perfect. Oh, it's so lovely. Green - my favourite colour. A classic Triumph. And to top it off, matching, er, Maccessories (oh, the awful, horrible punnage - sorry, I couldn't seem to stop myself).

Out, out of my brain, stupid thoughts!

They seem to be having Richard Dean Anderson night on Sky One tonight. Simpsons (special guest star RDA), Stargate SG-1 (200th episode, special guest star RDA), and Stargate: Atlantis (special guest star RDA). I could make some lame Recommended Daily Allowance joke here, but I'll try to resist. I don't have cable / satellite, but someone's taping it for me, for which I will bring them many gifts.

I wonder whether beer would actually make a good addition to an omelette? It sounds feasible. I like cheese and/or mushrooms, myself, but I'm always happy to branch out and try new things.

Gah. I'm typing these things to get them out of my brain.

I can't decide whether it's better to concentrate completely on one story, knuckling down to it despite the fact that I'm not sure where it's going, or to flit from one to another, to another, to another, editing and revising and chipping away, until they all either get finished, or I lose interest in the fandom. I have a bath foam analogy here, but I don't know if it gets me anywhere: see, I have loads of half-finished bottles of bath foam of various species, cluttering up my bathroom shelf. It gives me lots of options, when it comes to running a bath, but I end up with a bazillion odds and ends, and no shelf space. Perhaps I should just buy one or two, use those up, then buy more. Or is that just really dull and uninspiring? Some day I'll do like the woman in the Douglas Adams book (it's either Long Dark Teatime of the Soul or Dirk Gentley's Holistic Detective Agency), and just pour in a bit of everything. Then I'll have to have a shower afterwards to wash it all off again. I don't know how that relates to the story thing, though. I think that's stretching the analogy too far.

At the moment, I'm trying to stick to my Valentines series, and get that finished, because it's the only thing I've posted that isn't actually complete, and that's annoying me. Usually I finish things before I post them, because I'm aware of my tendency to lose focus. In my defence, I'd not actually intended to do any more than the first four stories, but then I was persuaded otherwise, and was having too much fun not to carry on the series and see what happened.

Extract from what I think will be the next in the Valentines series...

My Stargate action figures haven't arrived yet. I'm not worrying. I'm not.

Really I'm not.

Hey, this is like a pensieve (for those not familiar with Harry Potter, a pensieve is a thing you put your thoughts into, so you don't have to have them running around your brain and getting in the way all the time).
