Grumpy posts bitching about people warm my cockles.

I was just feeling grumpy earlier because every night when I come in to work at job #1, we close the office door and do a 30 minute (or less) turnover. Basically it's just so I can find out what's been going on from the previous staff member. We're a 24 hour facility, and all we ask from the residents of the shelter is that we not be disturbed during turnover unless there's an emergency. This happens three times a day, for 30 minutes each. Each time we do it, we put out a big honking sign, hanging right in front of the office, with a bright yellow rope saying that there's a turnover in progress, and to please not interrupt unless there's an emergency. Of course, people do it all the time anyway. Tonight someone tried it because she wanted Ibuprofren, and got snotty when I wouldn't open the door until 12:30 a.m.
