Anyhoo, all I was going to do was point you, Windsparrow, to my favourites list at Fanfiction.net: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/33414/ (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/33414/) I gaurantee all of the S/J fics there (click on "favorite stories") are excellent, and pretty much anything by any of the SG-1 authors (click on "favorite authors") I've chosen as my favourites (including Miss Pepper, here, herself) you can be sure are worth reading.
