I think Sam/MacGyver could be interesting, especially since she once used his name as a verb. It could be kinda funny. You know what would be really funny if Geek!Sam met Mac when he was in his Dexter disguise. I don't know why I love Geek!Sam so much.

I'll tell you a secret some people may want pummel me for. I don't think Mac has a whole lot of personality. I did really watch MacGyver when it first came on. Magnum, the A-Team, and Fallguy were the action shows I was into in the 80s. When the dvds came out I bought and watched the first 4 seasons like a good RDA fan. I was kinda surprised at how boring Mac was to me, because everybody gushes about how awesome he is. As cool as it would be to hang out with some that can make all kinda crap out of nothing his goody-two-shoe-ness would really drive me nuts after a while.

MS has never really been physically attractive to me. His eyebrows bug me to no end. He seems like he could be really charming, but at the same time he seems like he could be a complete ass. I wasn't in the SG fandom when he left the show, but when I later read about it (and what I read could be complete here-say and biased) there was something about the way he left and some things he said in interviews that really rubbed me the wrong way and I really have not cared for him since. That and I think some crazy obsessive Daniel fans that have accosted me at cons and various other places for not bowing down at the altar of St. Daniel or at the very least slash Daniel and Jack that has really tainted my perception of MS and Daniel. It's sad because I really connect to Daniel in the Stargate movie. I actually found some drawings I did at the time and one of them had a girl wearing the Eye of Ra.
