Air Force clothing regulations .pdf document I posted about the other day seemed to be useful, I thought I'd recommend this one, too: it's the US Dep't of Defence Emergency War Surgery Handbook (also a .pdf). I've mentioned it before to people, but not rec'd it on here.
It's basically all about emergency medical procedures in the field - what you can do, what you should do, what you should know, etc. It's stuff that I'd imagine Sam, Jack and Cam would have had some training on - and Daniel, Teal'c and Vala too, one would hope. It runs through pretty much anything someone in the field might encounter (except Weird Alien Stuff, of course), including things like weapons effects, parachute injuries, shock, burns, breaks, infections, anesthesia, radiological and chemical injuries, pediatric care, care of prisoners of war, the Glasgow Coma Scale.... It's useful for making us non-medical folk look less stupid when writing medical stuff - and thus not pissing off
