Geez, what the hell is wrong with this week? It's been the longest most agonizing week ever. Since misery does indeed love company, I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one having a horrible time of late. But please make it be over.

I've had a short week (Monday was a holiday), but the rest of the week seems determined to make up for it by being utterly stressful. Ugh. *flails*

I can't even sleep in on Saturday. I have to get up early to drive 4 hours down to the hottest scrap of land in all of Georgia. I only good thing is that I will get to see Shooter Jennings play. I'm not even sure I can work up any sort of excitement for even that at this point. Gah, wake me up when the concert starts.

Ooh! But, Shooter Jennings! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I bet he rocks.

Gone To Carolina came up on my random shuffle today, and it was just right for my mood.

Lately, I've been wearing The Wolf album out. It's one of those albums that I can listen to wall to wall for hours on end and never get tired of.

I also came across the 2 albums and a live gig from his days in the band Stargunn. I'll have to upload them for you. There's a couple of songs that very definitely evolved in to songs on his solo albums. It kinda fascinating.

Charlie Daniels and .38 Special will also be playing. My traveling companion is going for Charlie Daniels. I'm not sure I know any other of his songs other than The Devil Went Down to Georgia.

Shall I pick you up any concert memorablia while I'm there? : )

Oh, excellent. I will go to bed early, in that case, because my writer brain is not working at the moment. And that's one of the things that's frustrating me most.

I hope your Friday is better than your Thursday. So where can we find that Jack/Teal'd fic you wrote to defy Sucky Thursday? (and I'm hopeful that by this you meant not slash, but Jack and his buddy Teal'c).

Oh, and I meant to say yesterday--has your "Out Go the Lights" story every been nominated for the SG fic awards? I confess I forgot about those and did not vote as I should have this year. But I really think Out Go the Lights should be a winner--has it been already? Can I nominate it, if it has not already been?

Aw, thank you! This is the first year I've been nominated for anything - Peanut M&Ms and Out Go The Lights were nominated. The competition was just too darn hot. :)

And, er, I did mean Jack-slash-Teal'c... :) But it's not finished. I got sidetracked by Sam fic instead.

So, can I (or someone more up on how to do such things) nominate Out Go the Lights when they open voting for 2008, or do you just get one chance at it?

I'm sorry you did not win. It's such a good story (or series of stories, as I think of it.)
