AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGh.

You know those days when things just keep going wrong? And sometimes it's because other people are being a pain, but more annoying are the times it's your own damn fault?

Yes.

*throws tantrum, refuses to be reasonable about it*

I feel like swearing, LOUDLY, or throwing things, but I will probably startle and possibly offend the very nice ladies sat opposite me.

FUCK.

*grumbles*

Okay, I'm done. I just needed to blow off steam. Nothing interesting, just a series of little things that have been steadily grating on my nerves.

Sometimes, it becomes necessary to express your anger and frustration in ways that our parents might take issue with.

;-)

Hope things start going better for you.

Indeed. Maybe I should take up kickboxing. I had a friend who did that, and she was one of the most cheerful people I've ever known. :D

I'm much better now, thanks!

Hee! It's always the sweet, innocent ones you have to watch out for.

YES. The days where one thing after another picks at you, until you finally see the light and think that you can get away from everyone and chill out. Except then that's when you start getting in your own way, and you suddenly feel like you either have to implode or explode but things certainly can't remain STABLE.

Eesh. Yes. I find the only thing to do when you're in that kind of tailspin is reset - sleep, or read, or watch telly, or anything that makes me forget entirely why I'm pissed off, for a while. That's impossible at work, but on the way home, I buried myself in a book, and emerged from it at the other end of the journey feeling much brighter.

Heeheehee, your icon. *g* I must try and track down Family Guy, I'm sure they play it here, on some channel. Or have done.

You should get one of those stress balls, they do wonder. :) Hit 'em, smash 'em, throw 'em. ;)

I find them aggravating, actually, precisely because they're pretty indestructible (well, unless you take scissors or a match to them...). If I crush something, I want it to stay crushed, dammit. *g*

I'm starting to sound violent. I'm really not!

I always tell people who read my journal that it contains medical ranting, fannish stuff and the liberal use of the word fuck.

Swearing and ranting is necessary in order to deal with the nuttiness of other people, I say! So you go ahead and swear your fucking head off? Ok?

I find I don't need to swear a lot - just loudly, sometimes. :) Some nice Anglo-Saxon words with lots of hard consonants. I had a nice rant down the phone to someone, about all the little annoying things that had happened to me, and got it out of my system.

I tend to expect people not to be offended by my language, because it's pretty moderate, really - but I did get an anonymous comment on ff.net once, asking if I really must combine the classics (I mentioned Jane Eyre in the fic) with such flagrant use of bad language (it was from Wolverine's POV). I was annoyed, but amused. Because, yes, actually - I must. It was from Wolverine's POV. If I'd been writing, say, Spike from BTVS, he'd say "Bloody hell" a lot. If I'd been writing Daniel, he'd use a lot of big words and run-on sentences, and occasionally stammer if he was really over-excited. It depends what's appropriate.

meh

Oh, what were they bitching about, anyway? FF.net's got ratings, for cripes sake. If they're going to be offended by the occasional swear word, they should've stuck to the fics meant for all audiences.

*rolls eyes*

And yay for random pissed-offedness! Not for whatever the reasons were, of course, but I always like to see people vent ;) Glad you're feeling better now, though!

:) Yes - and I don't mind if people want to object to the rating I've put something under - that's a legitimate objection, to me. But really... if someone doesn't like swearing, they're going to be very limited in what Wolverine fics they can read. Ach. Mostly I wish they hadn't gone anonymous, so I could have (politely!) replied. Then again, that would probably just provoke an argument. *shrugs*

And, heh. Venting is healthy. Also, funny, sometimes. :)
