Week in the Life: Day 1

Stealing this meme from [personal profile] surreallis, because it sounded like a lot of fun.

Week in the Life: Day 1
1. You must take between 6 and 8 new photographs per day.
2. Your WITL must be consecutive. No skipping days.
3. You must post your photographs at the end of that day, some time after the last picture is taken.
4. Each photograph must have the time taken and a title, with no other explanation.

(Picture heavy behind the cut. Go figure.)

Photobucket
16:44 - Wesley's new job in supermarket promotional materials.

Photobucket
16:47 - Future ingredients.

Photobucket
18:07 - We're open late for all your wicker emergencies.

Photobucket
18:11 - Green, swishy, and cuddly, what more could I ask?

Photobucket
18:27 - Mmm, prospective Caesar Salad.

Photobucket
18:17 - Yes, this household has two copies of Good Omens. Your point being?

Hee :) I love your captions. Is that really Westley? Wow....

(of course you need two copies - they're different colors!)

I don't think it really is Wesley. *g* But it looks like him!

(They're only different colours because one of them is so old and bashed about. Heh.)

Oh, that's wonderful! Wicker emergencies, heh.

Beautiful tomatoes!

Thanks, I enjoyed very much!

Heh - actually, they're rosehips. But I went past them and went, "Wow, those look like tomatoes!". I hope to make rosehip syrup from them, later this year.

I went past that wicker in my local shop tonight. It's a lot of wicker. And they're open until 8pm, so if I had a sudden need to buy wicker in the evening, I'd be in luck.

Thanks! I'm so going to run out of subjects, very soon. *g*

I totally get the point of having two copies of a favorite book.

Your titles are hilarious. Also, caesar salad is amazing.

*luvs caesar salad*

It's possibly my third or fourth copy. I went through copies of Good Omens at quite a rate, at one point...

[identity profile] supplyship.livejournal.com 2008-08-19 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I know it's a little hard to get perspective, but those rosehips look HUGE! Do you make tea or something out of them?

Also, Wesley! Hee. And wicker emergencies - bwah!
ext_3314: Woman writing (Default)

[identity profile] pepper-field.livejournal.com 2008-08-19 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
They are huge! They're about the size of large mini tomatoes (er...). I was thinking of making rosehip syrup. Apparently it's pretty easy, aside from needing lots of filtering, and high in vitamin C, and tasty on ice cream. And pink!

Well, doesn't everyone have a wicker emergency, every now and then? Or is that just me?...

I love this meme!

How has nobody pointed out the pony on the bookcase yet?

I'm surprised, too! I'd've thought people would've been all over Baby Blossom. *g*

Hahaha! Wicker emergencies. "We need wicker! STAT, PEOPLE!"

Lovely pics.

"OMG, WE'VE RUN OUT OF WICKER!"

Ta!

What a neat idea! Mmm wicker. Mmm salad. Mmm green swishy thing!

[identity profile] pepper-field.livejournal.com 2008-08-19 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmm, salad was nice. The green swishy thing is my green cardigan/coat thing. I don't have a name for the item, but it's long and green and woolly and can be worn as kind of a coat. I get a lot of looks when wearing it. Possibly because it's quite ludicrously bright. And it has a hood. It's excellent. *g*

Between the green plants, green sweater, and green salad... I sense a theme here?

:)

Moi? Have a thing about green? I don't know what you're talking about. Please ignore the colour of my LJ and of most of my icons.

And I totally didn't squee quietly when Jack said his favourite colour was peridot. Because that would be stupid, right?

Jasper Fforde--yeah!

Yes, I just spent more time and effort than I should have trying to read the spines of your books. I had very little success, too. :-(

Jasper Fforde w00t! :D

Okay, for you - the large-size pic:

ETA better version.

I got the large picture already by clicking on the smaller one. It doesn't help; I still can't make out much! (I only got Jasper Fforde from the large one!) It may be my eyes.

Ha! I think I managed to reply while you were editing!

Now I can see some more. William Gibson--must read, haven't yet (embarrassing). Is that Diana Wynne Jones in the upper left? I read some of her books as a kid but haven't seen that name in years! Is that one I haven't read? Maybe I'll have to look for it!

Thanks!

[identity profile] pepper-field.livejournal.com 2008-08-19 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
A ton of Diana Wynne Jones, yes. The top shelf is my fantasy fiction - l-r, there's also Susan Cooper, The Ordinary Princess by M.M.Kaye (excellent kid's book), Lord of the Rings, Melanie Rawn, Jane Yolen (Briar Rose), Philip Pullman, Alan Garner, The Princess Bride, a short story book ed. by Datlow and Windling, and Robin McKinley's Spindle's End.

Then the next shelf is scifi. There's William Gibson (love, although he's not to everyone's taste), Spider Robinson, Amanda Hemingway, the novelisation of Ladyhawke (*g*), a Doctor Who novel, and Staaaaaaargate.

Then there's misc - Philippa Gregory, Meera Syal, Malcolm Pryce's Aberystwyth series, Jasper Fforde, Angela Carter, Jarhead by Anthony Swofford, M.R. James, Casino Royale, Vaclav Havel, Margaret Atwood, Helen Fielding, A Passage To India, Cold Comfort Farm, Roger Lancelyn Green, Charlotte Gilmore Perkins, Arcadia by Tom Stoppard, Truman Capote, and a couple of Alexandre Dumas.

On the other shelves around are mostly Terry Pratchett. :)

Ah, some favorites there: Princess Bride, Cold Comfort Farm, and and Margaret Atwood.

I'm finally really getting into Pratchett; I read Good Omens but have only read The Color of Magic in the Discworld series, though I will definitely read more!

Would it be shallow of me to admit that I've got Stargate book-envy?

Heh. Probably about as much as it was vain of me to be proud of my Stargate book collection. *g*
