Mm. I'm not entirely averse to the idea of a symbiote - I wouldn't exactly be jumping at the idea, but I wouldn't be turning it down if I were dying of Ancient plague. It would very much depend on what that symbiote is like, though. I guess they do have kind of a vetting system set up for that - when it's not an emergency.
