Reonion
My secondary school (high school to Americans) is having a reunion this month, for all pupils who ever attended. I think they're trying to boost their credentials. It was a dump when I was there, but they've improved since I left.
Hmm...
Think I won't go, though. I got the invite through Friends Reunited, and was appalled / excited. Then I looked at all the people who were on the list from the years I was there, and realised: I haven't stayed in contact with any of them, and don't miss them. Why on earth would I want to see them again? I doubt I'll have anything more in common with them now than I did at the time.
Wow, I'm a bundle of laughs. Actually, there were one or two people there I liked, to be fair on me, but they're not on Friends Reunited, so won't have received an invite.
edit: Actually, I'm tempted to call up an old friend - the only one from there with whom I have stayed in contact, and who hated it even more than I did - and do a Romy and Michelle. Must remember, though: life is not an American rom-com, and will not play by those rules.
